Property is anything that a person or business has legal title over. Property can be either tangible or intangible, and having legal title to it grants the owner certain enforceable rights. Typical examples of a tangible property include real estate, also known as real property
Property By-laws
No one is allowed to build in town without an approved building plan by the local authority
No person has the right to sell any portion of land or part thereof within the town’s jurisdiction
No one is allowed to erect any building within the town land without the local authority authorisation
Failure to comply or to follow necessary procedures, the local authority will be compelled to institute legal actions against you and do all necessary in its power within the framework of the law
Approval Process
The Town Council is working in line with the Local Authorities Act (Act 23of 1992)
Any portion of land or part thereof within the town’s boundaries is in hands of local authority
If there is a client who want to build within the town, authorisation from the local authority must be sought
A notice of the building plans must be submitted to the Council’s office for approval prior to construction
If any resident is caught building illegally, warnings will be issued in writing or verbally to stop with construction
