The Council offers the following benefit for the position:
Salary Scale : N$ 371 205.48 – N$ 389 765.75
Housing allowance : 20% of monthly salary
Housing Subsidy : 40 % of monthly salary, payable only upon submission of bond
registration certificate
Vehicle allowance : N$ 98 106.12 per annum
13th Cheque : 13th Cheque
Medical Aid : 90% Council Contributions
Pension : 21.7% Council Contributions

The successful candidate shall be responsible for:
To plan, direct, control and administer the affairs of the Department by formulating the vision of Council with regard to Water, Wastewater, Electricity, Infrastructure planning, Roads & Building Control. To set up policies, strategies and action plans that ensure the continued provision of sound technical services to the town of Outapi thereby contributing to the town’s attractiveness to investors, effectiveness of all industrial and commercial operations, and safety of road transportation within the jurisdictional area of the town at all times. To advise management and Council with regard to town planning, construction and engineering services, building, water, wastewater strategies and operations. To oversee the functions of the electricity reticulation, distribution, system operation, and maintenance services within the jurisdiction of Outapi town.

Minimum Requirements
• Grade 12 with B. Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
• Three (3) years working experience in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
• Two (2) years in Supervisory Level
• Sound working knowledge of the Public Procurement Act
• Experience in Local Authority will be added as an advantage
• Broad base in technical of appropriate civil engineering discipline
• Communication skills
• Analytical skills, Computer literate, Time management
• Managerial Skills
• Fluent in English
• Must be a Namibian citizen
• Must have a valid driver’s license code
